Each house has a face in it. They're titled 'Stay'. Inspired by our world wide lockdowns, 'stay' doesn’t just refer to staying home, but also refers to staying safe, staying sane, staying healthy, staying whole. Im selling these prints for $ 100 only, and have been sending them to buyers all over the world as a way to connect, in this time of separation. A positive little thing in this time of too much negativity. Hand printed, each one is unique in colour combination staysafe stayhome stayhealthy staystrong staypositive staytuned staycation stayfocused stayhuman staycurious staytogether stay

I remember this
watercolour monoprint & pencil on paper, 35 x 35 cm, 2020
This piece is one of a series of works inspired by our world wide lockdowns. The shape of a house as base for each work. In this piece 'I remember this', I drew landscapes of places I've been too, but can't go now. The landscapes are not drawn around the house, but inside. As an interior. It has different levels too. Ground floor; mountains and sea, 2nd floor, mountains and sea etc. As a memory stored. As if the house is like our head, where we have an array of memories, visuals, where we can 'travel' to at any time. Without leaving the house. Without physically moving. Everything nowadays happens in the house. Nothing is outside. Outside is a memory of what once was.

This piece is part of series of works around the idea of houses and lockdowns. Being confined to the house, the house as a carrier, a protective shell that stays in one place, yet carries us through difficult times by staying safe and healthy. The little balloon-like shapes carry the house as in a dream. Lifted. Floating. The face is carrying a baby animal and keeps is tight and safe, strapped to the head. As a precious something, as something you love and will protect.
